About the Company

Midwest Recovery was started in 2007 by Charles and David Williams with the philosophy that the public should not have to pay for their junk appliances. Now over a year later we have doubied in size and have a client base of over 50 companies and 20 cities and counties. Midwest Recovery has served over 500,000 people in community cleanups and processed over 4 million pounds of appliances this year alone. Midwest Recovery has set the bar very high for other companies to follow.

Midwest Recovery is a completely sealed facility. That means that no hazardous wastes can escape. We protect the environment with absolute regard for public safety and health. All of the hazardous wastes removed are disposed of in accordance with lowa Department of Natural Resources and the United States Environmental Protection Agency. Our facility is designed after the lowa DNR's pilot facility in Scott County. All hazardous materials such as Mercury, Freon, and PCBs are recovered and maintained on site until they are disposed of.

Midwest Recovery is the only company in the Midwest that provides free appliance cleanups to the general public. Midwest Recovery offers these services to municipalities for free also. Midwest Recovery will come to your community and go door to door or be on location. Midwest Recovery also provides the transportation and the personnel for the event. You do nothing but provide a location for us to be.

Midwest Recovery is a fully insured, licensed, and permitted. Midwest Recovery has 2 million in general liability. We are permitted by the EPA and licensed by the IDNR.
